Sydney Vivid Festival | Fire WaterThe Rocks will again be the host Fire Water. Sydneysiders and visitors are invited to experience a spectacular outdoor festival unlike anything seen before in The Rocks.

Fire Water is part of Vivid Sydney held from 27th May until 21st June. The free event will be held in June on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th and Monday 14th and is one of Vivid Sydney's premier events held at The Rocks, close to the Harbour Rocks Hotel, your ideal Vivid Festival accommodation.

Fire Water will bring to life an event based on the voyage of the Sydney Cove, sent to Australia from Calcutta in 1797 by merchant Robert Campbell. The story will be narrated by an 11-year-old Indian-Australian girl and accompanied by musicians, Bobby Singh and Shenzo Gregorio. More than 40,000 people came to experience Fire Water last year.

The show will end with a dramatic Bollywood-style display featuring tall ships arriving with a glowing light installation, sailors descending down on aerialist tissus, cranes unloading glowing barrels into the harbour and billows of colourful smoke bursting from the ships in the style of the Indian Holi festival.

The festivities continue with the Fire Water Night Markets. Local artists will transform The Rocks into a cosy, winter haven with candle making workshops and winter fashion, handmade gifts and original artworks for sale.
